This one, ‘The Double Yolk Egg,’ is a deliberate anomaly, painted in oil on recycled fabric. It perfectly sums up my style: finding something unexpected (the double yolk) and treating it with classical skill, but placing it on a surface that screams ‘recycled graphic print.’ It’s the meeting point of technical precision and raw, secondhand texture. The egg is centered, simple, and ‘new’; the fabric is the faded, layered ‘old.’ It’s clean painting over historical noise—not pretentious, just honest about the materials.
