It was a typical winters day in the Netherlands when I started this canvas. No, not freezing and white fresh snow. It was dark, grey, windy and raining for days. So when everybody was getting slightly depressed I decided to make something really colourful. At that time I didn’t know what to call her. The funny thing was, when people came to visit my studio they all stopped for this painting, saying it made them feel happy, like summer.
